The couple spent all of 2022 designing and renovating the two cottages to create the perfect stay for guests from around the world. The design of Mint + Sea Cottages was inspired by the couple's 5-star Airbnb, 1920s The Mint Casa, located in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, California.
The Mint + Sea Cottages have been completely transformed from top to bottom, with new tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, modern vintage-style appliances, new faucets and fixtures, smooth walls and white paint, restored and refinished original 1950s hardwood floors, high-quality brass hardware on cabinets and doors, hand-blown Art Deco glass light fixtures, brass accents, new air conditioning and heat, new custom designed and built fireplace, new cabinetry and brand new dishes and kitchen essentials, custom built cafe nook bench, custom built-ins with brass hardware finishes, upgraded electrical.
The cottages feature brand new furniture, top of the line linens and bedding with memory foam topper and mattresses, waterproof casings for mattress and pillows, and top-of-the-line towels. Each stay features custom soaps, high end shampoo and conditioner, and Starbucks coffee among other essentials.
Cottage + Sea duo has also designed the cottages with brand new and beautiful furnishes from companies such as Pottery Barn, Article, Burrow, Modern Komfort, Fireclay Tile, Signature Hardware, and more. Their focus is on cleanliness and offering a meticulously maintained space.
